The Measure on 2D Slice tool creates a flat section of the mesh and allows you to measure over that section in 2D. It is useful for measuring distances within or between profiles without the complexity of measuring directly over the entire 3D surface.
1️⃣ Select a visible mesh and open the Measure tool. Hold down the Shift key and click to place two points on the mesh and create the section plane.
2️⃣ You can move the drawn plane by holding the Shift key and dragging one of the points while. To start again press the Esc key.
3️⃣ After drawing the plan, a popup will appear with the 2D section that has been created. From here you can make the measurements you want between two points by creating them by clicking on it.
