This tool allows you to extract one or more teeth from a denture, with two working modes:
- Keep tooth:
- Extracts each selected tooth as a separate object.
- The extracted teeth are added as new extraction type files.
- When applying, they are automatically grouped into a group extract_N.
- Remove tooth:
- The tooth is removed from the working mesh.
- No separate meshes of extracted tooth are created.
Step by step
1️⃣ Select the mesh you want to work on and open the tool by pressing the third button in the AI Protocols bar. Select the type of extraction; keep tooth or remove tooth.

2️⃣ Click on the tooth you want to extract. You can select multiple teeth with Shift + click. To deselect a tooth, Shift + click on it again.

3️⃣ If you have selected a single tooth, you can adjust the tooth boundaries using the brush if necessary.

4️⃣ Click on Extract. Check the result and if it is correct click on Apply Extraction. If you use the Keep Tooth mode, the extracted teeth will appear in the Anatomy>extract group.

1. When should I use Hold Tooth mode?
Use Keep Tooth mode when you need to reuse or analyze extracted teeth. Select all the teeth you want to extract in a single session to generate a single organized group.
2. When should I use Delete Tooth mode?
Use Remove Tooth mode to quickly clean the base mesh.
