How it works?

AI Identification

The implant recognition module detects and identifies the make and model of implants present in a periapical X-ray. It is implemented in https://studio.movumtech.com/ and is managed as follows.

  1. Select the AI Identification option from the Dental Implants menu on the left.
  1. Drag a dental X-ray image in png, jpg or jpeg format to the specified area or click on it to upload an image.
  1. The image will be displayed. If desired, you can input traceability data such as a reference name and/or a date. Click on Analyze X-Ray.
  1. A loading symbol will be displayed while the implant is being analysed.
  1. Once the analysis is finished, the image will be displayed again with each implant and its prediction.

If the confidence level is not sufficiently elevated, 3 options will be displayed with their respective probability.

It is possible to confirm whether the classifier has matched the class and model or not.

  1. If the confidence level is sufficiently elevated, only one option will be displayed.
  1. Clicking on Download PDF will download a PDF report with a summary of the implant identification performed.
  1. By selecting Case Manager from the menu on the left and then Implant Identification, you can access the implant identification history.

Collaborate

In addition to recognising implants in dental X-ray images, it is possible to collaborate with this project by providing dental X-ray images and specifying the make and model of each implant.

  1. Select the Collaborate option from the Dental Implants menu on the left.
  1. Click on New collaboration to upload a dental X-ray image.
  1. Drag a dental X-ray image to the specified area or click on it to upload an image. You can also upload a ZIP file with several images, but all images must belong to the same implant model.
  1. The image and a loading symbol will be displayed while the implants are being detected.
  1. The implants will be displayed in the image and the user will be able to choose the make and model of each implant detected in the image.
